Please see below for an update on the provincial developmental teams tryout process.

 

As most are aware each division, U11 through U15, had kids missing during this weekend's tryout who were isolating due to Covid.

 

Because of this we had to make some adjustments and each division will have one final game this week with just 20 players per game (2-line). Each division is a little different so please see below.

 

In U11 we had 2 players missing. Because of this we have selected the top 18 children from the first 2 games and added the 2 kids who were unable to make it and they will play a game with 20 kids from which the top 15 players will be selected.

 

In U13 we had 3 players unable to attend, 2 forwards and 1 defense. The top ranked forward and the top ranked defense from last weekend's tryout have made the team and are not required to play the final game.  The 3 players unable to try out last weekend have been added to the next 17 ranked players by position and they will play a game with 20 players (2-line) from which the top 8 forwards and 5 defense will be selected and added to the 1 forward and 1 defense who are already selected to finalize the team selections.

 

In U15 we had 8 players unable to attend, 5 forwards and 3 defense. The top 2 ranked forwards and the top ranked defense from last weekend's tryout have made the team and are not required to play the final game.  The 8 players who were unable to tryout have been added to the next 12 highest ranked players by position and they will play a game with 20 players (2-line) from which the top 7 forwards and 5 defense will be selected and added to the 2 forwards and 1 defense who are already selected to finalize the team selections.

 

Goalies: Please note ALL goalies who tried out are invited back for the final game for all divisions.

 

The lists of the players selected to play the final game in each division as well as the players selected to the U13 and U15 teams are listed below.

 

Also, if your child's name is NOT included in the lists below they were unfortunately unsuccessful in the tryout and will not play the final game.  We would like to thank these players very much for all the hard work they put in during this past weekends tryouts.

 

We understand this is a different format but with the pandemic we had to come up with a solution to allow all children who signed up the ability to try out and this makes the process the fairest we can make it, gives a chance to the kids who couldn't make the other games, and allows the evaluators the opportunity to see all the kids they need to see again to make the final team selections.
